Best time to visit: for fewer crowds and milder weather April-June and September-October are ideal times to visit Zagreb. December is cold but has the Christmas markets which are considered some of the best in Europe while Summer is hot but also has lively festivals.
The city is compact and easy to walk around, but if you require transport there is an extensive tram network. You buy tickets via the ZET app or from newspaper kiosks.
